2011 Mental Health Authorization policy changes

Beginning January 1, 2011, Magellan Behavioral health will no longer process the OTR/TRF's for BC/BS of Illinois non HMO plans for outpatient mental health services.  This will now be handled by the Behavioral Health Program at BC/BS of Illinois directly.  HMO plans will still be managed by the IPA/MG's and the EAP's will still be managed by Magellan.  The new fax number for the OTR/TRF forms will be 877 361-7656.

Additionally, all BC/BS FEP plans will no longer require authorization for outpatient mental health services in 2011.

Cigna Healthcare new paper claims mailing address

Effective January 1, 2011 Cigna Healthcare will have a new mailing address for paper claims. Currently, paper claims are sent to P.O. Box 5200, Scranton, PA but come January the new paper claims address will be P.O. Box 182223, Chattanooga, TN 37422
